a not so likely recommendation

i LOOOVE to read.

i will give any book 100 pages to grab me and make me want to continue. if at the end of those pages, i hate the story and everything about it i stomp around and whine for a bit, then promptly pick up a new one.

i am currently reading this book.

and im really liking it.

its got murder, secrets, revenge, politics, and bad ass female characters - woo!

the funny thing is that i never would have found it on my own.

do you know why?

what if i told you the genre was "fantasy"?

"ugh" was the first thought i had about this one, too.

this series was recommended to me by andy - colby's WOW friend. i know, multiple red flags here, and im not blind to them. alternate reality game player wanted me to read fantasy novel.

but it passed the 100 page test.

in fact, it passed the 300 page test last night...
