why is mom's always better?

i tried a new recipe from my real simple magazine tonight - and it tasted fine, but it crumbled into a ground beef mess that wasnt the most aesthetically pleasing next to a pile of sour cream mashed potatoes and buttery corn. good thing colby didnt care or think anything of it, but he also didnt think i should care. but i did. and now i must vindicate myself in some meatloaf kind of way...
