sunday is a special day for us. and the above mentioned items are the traditional gifts for a four year anniversary. a wife must have made this list because everything on it would make a husband cringe to receive. i normally try to be really cute and clever with these, such as:
year one: paper
tickets to a concert with our fav bands
year two: cotton
new dress shirts and pants for a cruise we took
(okay so the shirts were cotton and the pants were wool, working off of technicalities here)
year three: leather
symbolically, this was the year colby was forgiven for his monstrous offense of bringing the motorcycle into my life - leather seat.
more literally speaking, i got rosie a new going-out collar for when she pulls him on the longboard. so leather was a tricky year...
and it gets more difficult. linen is too much like cotton, silk sucks and is dry clean only, and fruit or flowers could be pretty gay in the wrong connotation...
which shall it be, folks?

Get silk or linen wrapped around a vase of fruit flowers! (Colby made me say that) While we're voting, though, I say fruit.
